this is a link to the build of my 1966 skylark gs with a turbo on a buick 401nailhead. i am tring to stick to a resto mod/ pro-touring theme with c5 corvette brakes, tubular suspension, ridetech airride shockwaves struts and big front and rear sway bars. i am tearing the car back apart to finish body work and paint. the engine came back apart for a nice set of ross forged pistons to match the crank and the rods. http://www.pro-touring.com/showthre...ring-skylark-turbo-Buick-nailhead-build/page2 paul 66larkgs turbo401 nailhead

here is a few pictures of me putting in my shockwave airride, i had to trim the frame around the top of the spring pocket but did it with a sawzall so i could always weld it back in if i needed to. i also made and welded in some plating to regain some strength in the pocket. those big -10an lines are my feed and return fuel lines and the small blk line is the air line. been working on the car a ALOT lately. rear quarters, fenders, are in primer and the doors are gapped and almost ready to be shot. the trunk and hood are rust free now. Lots of metal work on this car.. wish someone made some repo sheetmetal so we didnt have to make our own.
just got the .040 401 back from the machine shop. Had it balanced and a set of custom ross pistons, total seal rings.ARP main studs install, ARP rod bolts and ARP cylinder head studs that i am going to install tomorrow when i start assembling the engine. I cleaned up all the ports on the heads and just got rid of all the flashing from the casting process. we dropped compression to 9.2:1 and looking to hit it with up to 15 psi boost. i can post up some pictures before i assemble.i was thinking of doing a step by step assemble with pictures to document.Cant wait to get this back in the car and hoping to have it in the car within a week or two. the motor took 5 months at the machine shop.. was starting to get ichy for it back Paul garret t67 turbo on buick 401 nailhead

Also had to hard line the Blow off valve and wastegate. It will take a little longer to due but will look super clean when done. This is a picture of two of my students who have been working on it with me. Once they get all thier work done for the day i will work on the hotrod with them.
