Wow - really clean looking suspension!

What spindles are those, and who makes the C5 brake kit?

those are a factory GM b body spindle out of a caprice. I smoothed them and powdercoated them. to install the c5 setup i used a set of aluminum Kore3 hubs. I use factory Corvette c5 calipers that i smoothed and powdercoated with gm drilled and slotted rotors. Thier is a adapter bracket to join the b body spindle to thec5 caliper abunment. You can buy everything from Tobin @ Kore3.

Wow I really like it, the headers are beautiful the only thing I would change is the carb I would use fuel injection that will be on the top of my list. I have a 62 Buick Sw that I want to turbo charge and I will use a Big stuff system. When I am done paying for College I will start it. I already have a 93 Vette suspension under the car.

Looks great I love the looks of the intake's on Nailheads. One probably dumb question I have is what do you use as a air cleaner for your intake? I'm not too familiar with Turbo set up's so I'm just curious.

    Thanks

I agree with you with the fuel injection. At the time i was going to have to build a ecu. I was going to build a megasquirt but i just was confident enough at the time and now i wish i would have done it. Money is pretty close to the same and i tune the setup with wideband o2 sensors so i can get that carbed TUNED real close.. My next one will have to be FI, reverse flow and a twin turbo.. that would be a neat build.
What is the big stuff system? never heard of it..
As for Air cleaner it goes into the compressor side of the turbo. I run a 90 elbow to a cone style aircleaner.

here is a few pictures, been working on it slowly. thier is some pictures of the flush bumpers and the cutout on the radiator to recess it further forward to keep it away from the turbo. the different upper radiator hose, relocated and powdercoated heater core lines, finished serpintine belt setup.. built that for under $200 bucks.

    thanks for looking

Paul, i was looking back one year and i have got alot done. I sold two of toys to finish this one. I sold that 53 pickup and my bike. Thier still is alot to due but very close to final primer and it is all finally comming together and i have been working out the bugs. I think the theme is pro-touring/ resto mod. The interior is all done but not installed. i had everything done stock but not stock. i have 62-63 skylark seat, stock rear seat but had them reupolstered to match. dedid the dash pad also to match in the same fabric. Once it is jammed i can reinstalled the interior.i still have a laundry list.. It is all the little things ohh and the big thing $$$$$$. But as you now takes $50,000 to build a $20,000 buick.

How is your 66 comming along?? get it fired up and moving yet?

  10. The theme you're going with sounds really interesting. I can't wait to see it.

I just started working on the car again. I'm in the process of stripping it now. I should have the underside painted by the end of the month and dropped back on the frame. Then it'll go out for metal work and should be in primer by March.

Cut the GS hood up today to make room for the carb hat and tubing. Looking to make the factory hood scopes out of billet aluminum and make them three piece setup. Besides that finishing up on a return line for the power steering resivoir but hope to have it broken in with some videos bye the end of the week.. I need a few parts that I am waiting on holding me back but hopefully tomorrow we will get a lot done.

been busy with the car , just finally got primer on the whole thing, blocked and guide coated and repriming tomorrow. front and rear bumpers got a little tucking along with a custom all metal 2.5" cowl hood.. been busy an working a lot of hours on the car every night but still feels like it will never get done. runs great but having some issues with the power steering pump so need to replace it but it will be a raped ape..
