    Thanks for the explanation, makes sense. Would you benefit form blocking the power valve circuit, and just jet up to compensate?

  3. Looks like maybe 1000 hp may be too much for a stock block even with a tall fill and a girdle. pulled the top end off and found scuffing in the bores and weird pitting on the tops of the pistons. this engine only has dyno time and a small amount of street driving.
