Great picture of your car Ray, just asking not being sarcastic is that a GS sport mirror on the passenger side or is it something else it looks a little tall in the picture that’s why I’m asking.
No offense taken. I did put sport mirrors on both sides intentionally. They were available over the parts counter back then so I cheated a little cause they looked so cool. But the rest of the car matched the original window sticker with the addition of the factory tach and removal of the factory trailer hitch.
Nice car. I see alot of bad work. The brake line going to the back- whats with the loop? Didn't own a tubing cutter and a flaring tool? Look at my gsx thread, needs all the same work and then some. Honestly, no matter what you pay for them, they all seem to need the same details attended to
Looks like it’s had a trunk pan laid in from the top and lap/stitched welded. The rear frame also looks to be paper thin, so combined with the new brake line I’m guessing it saw some snow/salt. I wonder what the small zip ties on the rear frame are for? Air shock hoses?
I actually like the wheels and stance. Sorry I’m a child of that era. Reminds me of my high school dream car.
Sold for $45,750 (+5% buyer's fee). This one 2 years ago was seemingly such a better deal. Timing is everything. 2 years ago I don't think many foresaw the classic car market going nuts. http://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/1970-gs-455-convertible-4-speed.354881/
The dyno sheet shows a little over 400 hp. isn't that kinda low seeing it has Edelbrock heads? Torque is nice though.
