I want to start a thread of members posting their engines idling, just to hear what both the owner and Buick have engineered together. More the merrier, and maybe this thread will keep us happier through the winter season as our cars sit! I’ll start ya off
I found this video of a 1964 Buick 425 broken in in a 65 GS -.030" over, Gessler ported heads and KB cam
This will have to do until I get the engine in and fired up. (My '68 stepchild). I'll get a video of my '64 up today.
My current 464 from finishline My old 430 that was slapped together from the top end of 1st 464.....iron heads....with a small .500 crower cam with lots of duration
Crazy timing on this thread. I was just asking about idle videos this morning. Wanting to hear what the cam is doing.
9.1:1 462, 224/230 - 112 - .480/.483 Lunati, 1-7/8" Shorty headers with 3" X pipe, Walker Ultra-Flow mufflers, 2.5" tail pipes.
Which do you like more? And that makes me think I should add my previous exhaust as well. It was a homemade Advance Auto contraption that I built myself, so you can tell which way that's going.
I actually liked the summit mufflers (flowmaster 44 copies) better and that's what's on it now (but with turn-downs at the muffs instead of run out the back), but truthfully it was just personal preference/nostalgia. The Magnaflows were impressive in how quiet at cruise they were and how they opened up under WOT, but the tone just wasn't for me. I had flow 40's on the car back in high school, and I think the fond memories were what constituted the change for me more than anything. I'll likely put the Magnaflows on the white car eventually.

Here's my 69 Riv with big unknown cam, dual side dump exhaust also unknown. Sorry about the video quality
