My Friend had to get tested to drive hi-performance cars and stick transmissions. Now they are taking them off the road fr winter. He has been driving mainly Jeeps. He had to drive an export diesel Jeep with RHD and a stick. He said that was an adventure.
I spent right at 35 years owning GS cars and will always appreciate them. As years passed the older car hobby has changed radically as have the driving habits of my fellow Americans. At the same time technology finally caught up to and passed the '61*'74 cars for performance. If you would have asked me in 1981, when I bought my first Gran Sport, I would have never been able to forsee all of this change or envision the cars of today. The Hellcat has not disappointed me in any way. This thread and a coworker were instrumental in my change in philosophy. As far as bills, PNC and I could always use some help. One last thought, if you're looking at the "other" forum and particularly this thread you must at least be a little "bi-curious" lol
The Hellcat is a real deal. The decked out 2018 Mustang GT 10 speed will be over 53K. https://themustangsource.com/2018-m...e=jan16&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=content I suspect Mustang sales will take a hit.
They are pricing the new generation Mustangs right out of the range of the potential buyers. I bought new Coyote Mustang GT's 3 years in a row because they were fast, fun and a great value for the $$. not so much a great value anymore.
Owners are getting notices that VINs are being assigned to the Hellcat Demon orders. To my belief none have been delivered.

Stay for the last "drive=by". The SRT392 sounds really good. I think they have the Chargers pinned lower than the Challengers for top speed.
Not to take anything away from Chrisler, but take a new aluminum block from TA with S-2 heads ,a good roller cam,and a nice supercharger,it will kick anything Fiat ho no! Chrisler has .This could also have AC and drive it to the store with the kids. John Csordas has a full size 71 Skylark, with a stock steel block with a Procharger,Drives it all over and with low boost it will run 10 seconds all day.And this is with a block that has not seen a factory engineer in 40 years.Bruno.
Wow I didnt realize Ford had gone down the road I bought my 14 GT new with some good options for like 34K I always have preached great bang for the price but even thou I like what the 18s have to offer not worth a 20 k price bump
