The balls are inspected 2 and a half hours before game time. I'm pretty sure it doesn't take that long to check 24+ balls. Plenty of time to make adjustments before kickoff.
We would have lost that game no matter what the ball PSI was. The big question is what else were they cheating at? p Just like when we used to lower the temperature in our old dome stadium when the other team had the ball.
Did you get some bad clam chowder up here once?. You choose to ignore the info I gave on Rogers and Manning so your argument has no validity. What do you want a public hanging? When I played college basketball sometimes the ball was over or under inflated. We dId not bitch we just played the damn game
Not sure about over or under inflated balls, in football, but I know there are a lot of over inflated egos.:laugh:
Why were they fined $500k in 2007 if they didn't cheat? I don't want a public hanging but I would like to see Belichick suspended for the Super Bowl and for the NFL to take away their first and second round draft picks for at least a couple of years. Another fine for a rich old fart like Kraft means nothing. If Brady is so great then why is he 16k passing yards behind Manning? He'll never hit 70k passing yards and you know it....
And this was confirmed. The balls did in fact pass inspection PRE game.So we can only come to one conclusion here....:Brow:
Here I thought I knew alot about football.. I knew there was a special "kicking football" I had no idea that each team used their own footballs on offense. Why on earth is that, would be the question that comes to my mind. JW
well in his press conference he said that he had no idea, he wasn't defensive at all. now i do believe he is telling the truth because if he is caught in a lie the consequences would be harsh. who or how it happened? there are cameras everywhere in this country except in bathrooms, so unless there is film of a ball boy entering a bathroom with a big ole bag of balls there should be evidence on film. if they can't come up with any or if it looks like they are hiding anything there will be hell to pay.
Same reason pitchers scuff up baseball's differently - personal preference. There's just guidelines in how far they can go with it.
Except its about the money not integrity. "Winning is not everything. Its the only thing". Same as politics. Same as criminal trials. Winning is what matters regardless of whats right and wrong, regardless of the facts, of truth and falacy. Sad realization I know. It took me a while to accept it.
I haven't always lived in the St Louis area but the locals here talk a lot about NE cheating against the Rams back in the day... something about filming practices or something. Seems to be a trend.
Here's some comments from Chris Canty, Baltimore Ravens defensive end.... "The Patriots are habitual line-steppers," Canty said in an appearance on NBCSN on Wednesday. "If the allegations are true, then you are talking about attacking the integrity of our game and I have an issue with that. ... "What I'm going to say about the deflating of the balls, to me there is no difference than performance-enhancing drugs. You are cheating at that point. You are getting a competitive advantage outside of the rulebook and there has to be some sort of consequences for that."
