Yea, I kinda like the Poverty Caps too but will probably try to find a set of Rallye's too. Can't have too many choices ya know!

Thanks Ted, that makes me feel a whole lot better. Owner is a super nice guy and he and his son are Buick people through and through. Very easy to deal with and I couldn't ask for more from a seller.

Thanks again for making me feel at ease!:TU:

Oh darn, I was too slow, was hoping to get my guess in before you let the cat out of the bag! I was pretty sure I could have gotten it right.

Nice but still a bit "imature" . . . (Re: Brad has a new toy....)

Howdy Brad and V-8 Buick wagon lovers,

Congrats on your new braggin' wagon!! :TU:

 Nonetheless, you are robbin' da' cradle a little . . . . :Brow:

A Buick wagon needs at least a good 45 years of "seasoning" to become properly mature. . . . .

So, you are off to a good start, but . . . like a fine wine - you must give a wagon its - time!! :Brow:

Not that I would have any personal bias in such a time-line . . .

    Cheers, Edouard :beer

When I was born, that's what my mom had. It was pale green with a dark green top, poverty caps, and no fake woodgrain; I bet she ordered AC. Car too had the button at the end of the turn signal stalk, but wasn't that for windshield washer control? I don't have pics of it, but I have it on DVD.

After an accident when I was 6, she replaced it with a '79 LeMans Safari.

Windshield "one swipe" misty rain button, I think. I can't find my '72 Buick sales catalog to confirm what it is.

Added in edit: Diego, look at the end of the GEAR SHIFT lever, not the turn signal stalk. The end of the turn signal would house the cruise control button and was very common even back then.

Wiper Demand. There is also a separate pamphlet detailing the new feature. I can scan it if you want to see it Brad. It is a multi-function switch, you can press it down once or hold it down for two different actions. The wiper motor is specific to wiper demand vehicles and they can be pricey. Nice find Brad!

That would be cool, Rob! I had heard of it but never actually saw one.

Brad, Welcome to the world of long roofs. Once you have one you will want more, (maybe) :Brow::Brow::Brow:

In the 6000 series, 2799 cars received that fingertip washer option. That's 4.3 percent.

That thing is too cool. Each and every day i want a wagon a little more lol. Now was 70 the first year for the full size estate wagon or did they make them in late 60s also. I always see sportys for 68-69 but not full size. I always thought my 68 electra would have been cool as a wagon.

    Dan,

Buick has been making Estate Wagons (full size cars) since at least the 1940's. Google "Buick Estate Wagon" and see what shows up.

Doo Wop Where were you in '62?

True enough....is hard enough here just to find a worthy and useable front clip (older) for same classic cars of that vintage.
You know what....even my wife really wants one herself. She's a "car crazy cutie" she is. Prefers Buicks but hates being mistaken for a Chevelle, all too common, in a small town.

Sweet job Brad!:TU:Im sorry i never called you back, a guy came to look at the '73 clam shell and wanted to trade some junk and low balled us, so technically the old man does not want to sell it now because of that incompetent person!

That car says sleeper all over it! Tweak that 455, and enjoy the hell out of it! Very happy for you, I think you need a big block Vista Cruiser to compliment her!:Brow:

Call you shortly and congrats once again!
