Guy, I posted this last year when I came across a pic of this same wagon http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?p=1368063#post1368063
Well, it was offered to me to purchase, but I "think" I'm going to pass. It started life a pit vehicle in '71. then in 72 converted to race stock class. Ran a best of 12.57...which I "think" wasn't to bad for a 350" heavy stocker...oh and with 4:56 gears.o No: It's basically a rust free survivor with the exception of the changes made to compete in stock nhra. Sounds to me there is no real history to the car other than the fact it was a race car most it's lifeo No:
Is that a local car?...I could swear I've seen it before. If your not interested I might know someone that is...
Sort of...Mn. Let me know if you're serious, and I'll pass on info and pics. It sounds as though the owner wants it going to a Buick lover and keep it as it was intended....to drag race.
Hi guys I found this searching around , hope this link works. if this was posted before , sorry. http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2398728770082607023uauScg Al
I don't think this picture was in this thread, sorry if it has... <a href="http://s231.photobucket.com/albums/ee192/POPSTAGE2/?action=view¤t=lenimmkebuick01.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee192/POPSTAGE2/lenimmkebuick01.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
Hi Guy. Yep, it's the first reply to the original thread. But, you just made me aware of something. Attachments were originally pictures posted in here. "Full size", so to speak. Now they've been reformated by the site into thumbnails that don't expand when you click on them. So in essence, we no longer have pictures that are worth a hoot. Frankly, I don't know how to add anything but a thumbnail now either. ou:
To post a photo without uploading it directly to this site, you'll need to store the image somewhere online, such as Photobucket. You can then copy the URL to that photo at Photobucket and paste it into a post by clicking on the "insert image" icon, which is the yellow box with a mountain and sun on it. I prefer to use the paperclip icon that uploads images directly to the website and automatically creates thumbnails. The thumbnails load quicker and the storage of the image is permanent for future reference, but it loads up the memory of the site, which probably costs money. So, I try to use the Photobucket method, with the realization that some of my photos may dissappear here down the road if I ever change things on my account there.
Not sure if proper to do, but here is a link to Toms car that I didn't see in thread. http://www.automachperf.com/stage2.html
Yeah! Didn't it come up in this thread already? Supposedly didn't do too well in racing; pretty sure the Reynolds/Kenne-Bell car was faster, even though the Judd car ran Pro Stock! I guess the engineering on their part just couldn't cut it. I'd like to have that car, even though it didn't do that well. And that's not to say I could ever afford what's left of it.
