May I ask why you didn't go with the NOS Pro double cross? It is capable of 700+ hp and has stages too. My personal fav is the Nitrous Express Dual Stage Billet crossbar plate 50-800 hp. now thats pure power. http://www.nitrousexpress.com/66047...system-50-800hp-w10lb-bottle-4500-flange.html
ive noticed you are rather ignored here, has anyone ever responded directly to you. ? I dont see anything to be worried about , you dont bite.
I've had a few PMs asking how things have been going, I've had the car out, has about 30 passes on it...Regarding the nitrous, I already had the NX gemini twin single stage plate, and I always wanted to put a fogger on too. Was only going to run the fogger, but I had them both, I got a great deal from Induction Solutions flowing the "kits" and hookied me up with some nice tunes, so stack them up! The block can take it!! Car is fast but has been slightly off, ran 5.72 in the 1/8th on the plate with a 250 shot, the fogger was not working correctly, I had to re wire it. Fogger worked after that, but for some reason the performance has been "off", with the 325 shot on the fogger, I ran a 9.19 @ 149, then I burnt up the transmission! I had it rebuilt, had the converter checked out to find it broke a snap ring, got that fixed too, took the car back out, ran 8 passes, 9.20 @ 148, and the damn trans fluid was burnt up again!! I found out just last week what the problem was, and it has been a problem since I put this combo together, and it defiantly was slowing down the car.. The short version is that my PTC high dollar spragless converter has some bushing in it, and my billet trans input shaft doesn't have an extra oil hole to feed oil to the converter bushing, but the trans also has this bushing that when its installed without the input oil hole and the converter bushing, these 2 bushings restrict flow and end up burning up the trans, and hurts the converter performance, which will make the car go slower....Was a real pain to try and figure this out..I'm getting ready to put the trans back in the car, and hope to take it back out in a month or so, I really need to get it straightened out so I can "hit" it with the 2 stages. Damn car should run in the 8's easily with a single stage, then stack the 2nd kit, low 8's here we come! It has been challenging its damn expensive to race this thing, 13 1/2 to 1 compression, and the nitrous, over 300 shot, the damn bottles go faster than the car!! Gary G.
I said something to Fred about spragless convertors and he said it will slow you down but I never tried them. Have you tried old school 400 and broke it? I don't know when you have that much power but I just broke my 400 running 10.85 with a lot of weight in the trunk. Fred said that has never happened to him. I think it's a sprag failure. I would like to try that 6 speed Auto.
