Well, I can finally post some results regarding my Tomahawk block build! I sent a pallet full of "goodies" off to Mi to Finishline Motorsports. Bobb had just finished his aluminum block build, so since I'm just some knucklehead who builds his motors in the garage, i let Bobb deal with whatever problems, beyond my garage build abilities. I know many will say I let some Cubic Inches on the table, but this was not going to be "stupid expensive", I did have the crank and rods already, and knowing that my sty 2 TEs will be the limiting factor, even though they are very good flowing heads, so my build is a 475ci, nitrous motor. It will be "hit" with anywhere from 300 to 600 of nitrous. Heres what I did; CP nitrous piston, GRP 7 in. aluminum rods, Moldex billet crank, internal balance, aluminum block, a "3/4 in race roller cam from Scott Brown (don't even think about asking for the specs...) As mentioned Stg. 2 TE's with the T&D 1.7 shaft rocker set up, induction is handled with a super victor MOPAR intake, welded adapter plates a thing of beauty, Thanks Bobb! a 1050 dominator, for now, the "wheel" flex plate, ATI Balancer, and a Moroso 4 vane vac. pump. All machine work was handled by Finishline, and there where some challenges!! The motor went to Steve Morris Engines (the Boostmaster!) for some quality break in and dyno pulls, so off to Michigan I flew! We did have some minor technical difficulties, and may have cost some horsepower.... I was hoping to see 800 hp, my guess was 804, like I said, this is a nitrous specific motor, sooooo.....Normaly Aspirated it ran really well, started right up and sounded pretty beefy! Some jetting, some tweaking, some timing, and some RPM, netted us/me with 822 hp and 7200 rpm, and just over 660 ft. lbs. of torque at like 5500! So lets do some basic math, my nitrous plate can go to 300 hp, my fogger can go to 500hp, yes, thats WELL over 1000 horsepower! Pretty sure my goal of running 8.40s WILL happen. I have always made a claim to have "the worlds fastest Buick Skylark Convertible", this should seal the deal! I'm pretty happy, a bigger carb may be in the future, but the nitrous is the great equalizer! You can't imagine how grateful I am to my wife and family, Scott Brown, and Bobb Makley for putting up with me & me putting up with him... Gary G.

Congrat's Gary. Can't wait to read about the track results. Was the 7200 where it peaked or where they stopped the pull?
We did pulls to 8000 rpm, we found out that we ran out of carb (too small), and from 6000 to 8000 rpm average 797hp.... Gary G.

Wow that's big power for a small engine with 3/4 cam and a 1050....I can only imagine with a full race cam, bigger carb, and better heads.....Cant wait till you make a nitrous pass. That intake is a thing of beauty I have to imagine that's worth some hp. Nice job!
Gary looks like you will be having some fun soon.... Put up some pictures when it is in the car and ready for the track. I like to see the way people run all the hoses and support items on an engine. That style intake must look pretty cool in the car:TU: How soon do you think you will get to a track? What track do you generally go to?
Blairs Convertible is Chevy powered, I think its a 582...I've talked to him, he hasn't run great numbers yet....I'm up to anyones challenge, when the car is all ready, I aint scared! Gary G.

I've been busting my A## to get my car back together......Everything is changed or different, hope to fire it up soon!
