I would like to convert my Skylark over to the white interior, but Year One doesn't offer white on seats or panels. I'm almost positive white was a factory option? o No: Does anyone else repro these seatcovers and doorpanels? ~Mike '66 Skylark 340-4
I think a lot of guys here swear by Legendary Auto Interiors http://www.legendaryautointeriors.com/ but I am not so sure they have white or ivory for a 66 Skylark.
The 66 "white" interior was called Dove. It is not a pure white, but an off white. You might want to ask for a sample of the vinyl to make sure you like the color before ordering. Duane
I'd forgotten about Legendary, I have liked their work that I've seen on the board. Anyway, Legendary lists a color for '66 called "Metallic Parchment." I can't seem to find a pic, but 'parchment' sounds vaguely white. Anyone know? ~Mike '66 Skylark 340-4
Mike, "Metallic Parchment", "Parchment", "Dove", "White", are terms often used to describe the same color. The name depends on which type of factory literature you are looking at, such as dealer brochures, color/trim books, service manuals, or assembly manuals. Again, you should ask for a sample of the factory 1966 "white/dove" color and go from there. Duane
