I am looking to buy a set of original Iron Stage 2 Heads to complete a restoration engine build to factory original Stage 2 specifications. Looking for UNMODIFIED heads but would consider ANY Stage 2 heads as they are so hard to locate. I know they are out there I just need to find someone willing to pass a set along to a new home!

JW already has the short block completed with ALL NEW pieces; cam, pistons, replacement block, crank, rods, timing cover, oil pan, etc. It is sitting and waiting for us to locate a set of heads.

Here's the thread where he "found" the parts:

It's Christmas at TSP again.. STG 2 Parts found!

Plans are to complete the engine build-up and then do some dyno tuning to see what a COMPLETELY STOCK STAGE 2 ENGINE would produce for HP & Torque. All results will be posted online.

PLEASE HELP!!!! $$ Finders Fee if you can help me find the right heads!!

    Thanks....

Don't know what Philip used for pistons and cam, but from what I know of him it is more than likely all Stage2 Buick stuff.
Hope you find your heads...maybe I can be of help in the future.

I appreciate any and all help I can get.

I visited with you a little bit in Columbus. I was one of the many who were drooling over your car. I took a BUNCH of photos so I could reference them on my project.

I'd pay a finders fee for help in buying the right set of heads!!

    TIA...

    TTT....

Still hoping to locate a set of IRON heads for my restoration Stage 2 engine project. Have all correct parts except the Heads and Headers (the hardest things to source). Short block is waiting on the engine stand for these rare pieces.

Finders fee paid if parts are purchased!

    Thanks

Hey Rob...Howya doin? FYI..You may want to buy Hemmings Motor News and glance thru the classifieds. Back sometime last fall..I saw an ad in HMN for a set of Stage 2's from a seller in "I think"? Albequerque? Pretty reasonable at $5500 with old headers too! I tried a few times but I never reached the seller. Good Luck! Wheelz, Tampa Bay

I know the motor your talking about - its not for sale anymore

owner has resumed building his motor. It's a 13:1 race motor, and the iron heads have been heavily modified.

I tried to buy this one a while back

Would it be feasible to use the TA Aluminum Stage 2's until you can find the real deal iron heads then swap them out?

    Hi Bob,

Yeah, I could go with TA Stage 2 aluminum heads in the mean time. I've been thinking about that route but it consumes dollars to spend on the correct IRON heads when they are offered to me.

I'm still hoping that someone has a set sitting around that they are NOT using and they would consider taking some CASH and letting me have them for a special project.

I plan to DRIVE the car regularly to cruise ins and shows and I think it would be really special to see an authentic STAGE 2 GSX 4 Speed Buick cruising the streets again!!

    SOMEONE HELP ME FIND IRON STAGE 2 HEADS P L E A S E !!!!!!

    Thanks

I have a friend who tried to use iron S2 heads with no luck they keep cracking he has spent $$$$ on them but with no luck. Probbably going to use T/A heads. Thats the route I went on my X. The car runs nice and cool even on hot days. Good luck finding them.
