WTB: 401/425 Dual quad rear A/C Bracket.

Wanted: Rear A/C Bracket for 63-66 Riviera Dual Quad option that is taller for the finned alluminum valve covers. The standard bracket for the non-GS (single carb) with the standard stamped steel vave covers are different. I am looking for an original "tall" dual quad bracket. Not a standard one, that has been "re-worked". Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the front bracket is the same.

Erik, I'm told "Clark's Corvair Parts" has repros that are pretty good. Might try giving them a look at. It appears that the $26.00 one on e-bay is a reworked regular bracket.

 

Nope. They don't. Just checked.

You are right about the reworked "option" ones on Ebay. I'm not interested in one of those.

i have the aluminum cover single carb one from a 66 riviera
if you want to just elongat the hole to make it fit

I've got a couple different rear A/C brackets maybe one of them is right? I'll try and get some pictures of what I have.

 

This would be for a nailhead only. I'm looking for an original for dual quads and the tall finned valve covers.

I could (but I don't want to) modify the one I have. Here is what it should look like:

 

The seller "Classic Specialties" on ebay has them for $24.00 + $5.00 for shipping. It says they have 16 available.

That one on e-bay is misleading. It is NOT an original for the dual quad. it is advertised as an "option", but it is a reworked original for a single carb with the stamped steel valve covers that has been cut out. You can see by the pictures it is obviously much weaker than the one in my photos because of how much material tht has been cut out of it.

the one hole is elongated for the switch between single carb aluminum covers and the dual carb aluminum covers
i have that bracket that is pictured
i will get some pics for you later
