I am looking for black bucket seats with seat tracks for my 1972 Buick GS. I cant afford a newly totally restored pair but would like to find a nice original driver quality pair or an older restoration pair.

I have available for a partial trade a really nice 1971/1972 black deluxe bench seat with armrest and manual seat tracks. Also, available toward a trade, I have a 1970 black deluxe bench seat with armrest and manual seat tracks that has been redone and is in excellent condition and a really nice 1970 rear original seat to go with it.

Pictures below are of my 1971/1972 bench seat. Currently don't have any pics of the 1970 seats but can get some taken if someone is interest in trade for them.

Just to clarify, I am not interesting in selling my bench seats outright until I have purchased bucket seats that meet my needs.

Please PM me pictures and prices of what you have for sale.

    Thanks,

If your not dead set on originality, check out the aftermarket seats by Procar. Thats what I did in mine. They even have brackets for converting a bench seat car to they're buckets. They are super nice, and the price is better than a real nice pair if originals. Something to think about.

    Hi Brandon,

Thanks for the tip! I have been checking out the Procar Seats and they look really nice. Which style of seats did you get for your car? I am looking at the Rally Series 1000 seats. Just curious how wide they are compared to a stock bucket seat. They list the same part number for an early 70's Camaro. I am not planning to go with a floor shift console, so I want to make sure the seats don't look too narrow, especially between the seats without a center console.

Does anyone know the width of the seat bottom cushion on a factory Skylark/GS bucket seat? I don't have access to one to go measure.

    Thanks,

My '72 is 23 wide on the seat bases (widest point at mid thigh), with about 7" in between for the console which is about 6-1/2" Bill

    Thanks for information Bill!

The Procar Rally Series 1000 Smooth back seats show to be 22" at mid thigh, so they are really close to the same width. They also have a stitching pattern close to the factory for 1971 and 1972.

I really like to keep the OEM look, but as Brandon mentioned, these appear to be a very nice option for the money.

Doug, I really like those Rally seats. That not what I have, but I have seen them in person and they are sweet. You wont be dissapointed I dont think. If you choose them, make sure you look at Summit Racing. They have them as a kit with the brackets and sliders together. Just need to really make sure your getting the right brackets. I posted a link below to the seats I put in mine, IMO these are really close to what the factory buckets look like, and the stitching matches well. They are somewhat small, and in hindsight I may have not been so cheap and went with the Rallys. These are still really nice though.
