My 70 Skylark is stored in a garage and driven maybe once a month, but never very far. I have a 455 motor with electronic ignition from a 75 Electra. Today I went to go and start it but it wouldn't start. Engine cranks but it wouldn't start. I drove it last night and noticed that it took a minute for it to start. I smell gas so I know its getting that but I was wondering if distributors, modules, rotor buttons, etc go bad from sitting for long periods of time??? Should I go and replace these parts in hopes of getting it started?? Any help or incite would be appreciated:)

Probably the module. You need fuel, spark, compression and timing. Try to eliminate the culprit one at a time. My money is on spark.

Put inductive timing light on any spark plug wire and crank and look for flashing light. No flashy lights, no sparky! I agree with Clark, module.
