Wiring Cover

Hi, i have a metal plate that covers the wiring going to the starter motor, but its not bolted to the engine. Can anyone let me know what size bolts / screws they are please.

If you are talking about the plate that has the Battery cable in it then the bolts are 1/4-20 and real shot . Like 1/2 inch long.

 

Thanks - that's the plate - battery cable goes straight to the starter. 20 is Threads per inch i'm guess? so fine thread. Will get some from the local hardware store. Are they a screw or hex head? cheers

 

1/4x20 is course thread. 1/4x24 is fine thread. 7/16th. hex head.
