First off, Greetings to all. I've read before I registered and now I feel I may get alot more from the forums by being a member, and maybe even have something to offer.
Ok, since I've had my 86 Regal Limited w/ 307 its wipers have never worked correctly. When I got it, wipers worked slow in OFF position, didn't work in ON or DELAY position, worked slow in LOW, and fast in HIGH. I thought I'd fix this problem by replacing wiper motor. Nope. Then I thought maybe I needed a wiper motor cover because I noticed when I changed the wiper motor that my cover didn't have a control module inside. I didn't actually miss it until I found out that others had it. Upon finding out that I can't buy the wiper motor cover and/or the control module inside new, I found one in the junk yard. When I installed it on the replacement wiper motor I didn't note the position of the cam inside the cover, and I don't think I did it right. I broke the replacement wiper motor and the wiper motor cover w/ the control module in it, the cam broke.
Now tomorrow I gotta get a new wiper motor and control module. I'm looking for ANY and ALL help. PICTURES PLEASE. The installation instructions for the wiper motor were no help at all with no pics, I don't even think they were application specific. My Haynes repair manual wasn't much help either. I can't find anything detailed on this on the web.
    thanx.

Hey, I am no help with the cam positioning but....

I recall seeing a wiper motor contorl unit at Autozone, it was in the "help" section with all the specialty parts.

Guys, I can't find a replacement wiper motor cover w/ the circuit board anywhere. I have tried junkyards but I'm not sure that the part I'm getting is any good. None of the parts stores have it and the lowest price I've found for it at dealerships is $102. I'm not even sure if this will fix the problem. The troubleshooting guide that came w/ the replacement wiper motor lists "open in circuit between switch and motor" as a possible problem. I'm unsure what this means exactly and clueless how to fix it. Someone please help. I cannot believe that no-one has had this problem before! This is my second g-body regal and both have had this problem sooner or later.

    Thank in advance

    @ Quik82
can you tell me any other info that might help me find it? Such as part number or model number? I called my local AutoZone and they don't know SQUAT about what I'm talking about. I really appreciate you replying....I have been riding w/o my wiper motor connected for going on 2 weeks. I got caught in the pouring rain one day last week at dusk while also fighting windshield fog on the highway, and speeding (faster than cars that had wipers on HI). Geez I'm stupid. I'm going to AutoZone in the AM and I ain't leaving until I find it. I'd still appreciate more info tho, just in case I don't find it and to make sure I got the right part if I do find it.

This site is GREAT; ppl willing to share "honest" info w/o demanding money!
    I Love It
    Thanx Y'all
