    Guys, he's got a 1955 special 2 door hardtop (or a 46r).

I wouldn't be any help on that, unless he wants a 'fresh look'.

I pointed him to the Buick Club of America forums,
    http://forums.aaca.org/postlist.php?Cat=&Board=UBB2
    Also http://www.teambuick.com/forums/
    And: http://www.buick-59.com/

Also, might try looking at the online NOS parts places, and see if you can't find a picture of one, which might give a clue about how they come out. Try the Buick Parts Directory for a list of parts sources. http://www.buickpartsdirectory.com/

Anybody here got know about '55 dash assembly?

potositx, (we're pretty informal on this board, got a first name?),

You might consider editing the Title of this thread (go to your first post and hit the 'edit' button) to include the year of your car, so it'll stand out to anybody with a '55 or so Buick. :TU:

Oh, and WELCOME to the board! :beer

Is it electric or vacuum? My 55 2dht is setting in garage in Abilene, I used to live at Potosi. There are a couple of 55-56s on Oak street, south of the courthouse, across the street from Tom's Tires. If you e-mail me I will give you the name of the guy who owns them Maybe he will (probably not) let you look at his. If this rocks on long enough, I'll look at mine when I go home. Sorry not to be more help. Got to be nut or a clip or set screw, I would think.

Yup, I can tell you're havin' a blast! :error: Nothing like being upside down with your head jammed up among the pedals and your back bent sideways...always makes me feel like the guy on the left :spank:

You might ask the guys at Carls or Reeders parts stores, maybe they can point you to somebody in town who has a similar car. Heck, Dale at Carls may know the answer offhand...

If you'd like me to come take a fresh look, let me know. :beer
