I have a 69 gs hardtop that has a rotted out roof skin. The inner structure is fine. I met up with mrsportwagon yesterday, and he has a 4 door skylark. the roof of course is longer and wider. My question is, will the 4doors roof be any help at all? Thanks
Thanks junkman. I have been looking for the right deal on a 2 door skin. I did find one last month for $150 about 700 miles away in northern california. The problem was the guy wouldn't ship it??? and I couldn't afford the fuel to go get it. I've called around to the wrecking yards out here... one guy at key motors said $500 for the roof and hung up the phone.... all american classics said to come on out and look, but didn't think any of the 3 dozen cars had a good roof and the rumor is that their prices are on the ridiculously high side. I would really love to chop the top off a 68/69 chevelle just to piss off the cookie cutter lovers out there. If anyone has a roof skin they want to part with, please let me know. Thanks again
