There was a mid-year change in the design of the door hinges and doors in 67. The later design will bolt on your 69, but there are some differences that may or may not affect anything--could be as simple as holes for exterior moldings. If the bolts that hold the hinge to the door on the 67 are same thread size as your 69 then the 67 is later design and should bolt on. John
Thanks for the info i am going to look at the car saturday because it is a 2 hr drive but i will take a bolt from mine with me
The doors should be the same fit, but things like interior handles , lock mechanism, door pulls, location of exterior rear view mirror (...if equipped), and exterior trim holes will vary. I have '67 doors on my '68, and it required changing the interior door handles to paddle, pull-in type from paddle, pull-up style, and the location for the door lock levers was totally different. '68 and '69 doors are identical, and the stamping for the interior '67 door panel was similar to '68, so all the modifications were very easy to accomplish. :TU:
Switching the parts will not be a problem if need be my doors are good mech. but passenger door is rusted very bad lower front inside and somewhere along the line someone cut 6" holes in the doors for speakers.
All 2nd generation doors are prone to rusting in that area as there are 3 layers of unprotected steel to support those big heavy doors. Rust proof the replacements while you have access, before you put the door panels back on !! :TU:
