o No:Hey bruick lovers We are currently resto-modding a Chassis for a 1966 Wildcat Convertible the person would like to have front disc brakes and I am having trouble finding a crossover vehicle that has the same suspension with disc brakes... so I am coming to the conclusion they do not exist... or do they? trying to figure out whether or not I will have to re machine the factory spindles to accept newer bbody chevy rotors and build a caliper bracket or if we can find a spindle/disc brake setup that will work with a this 'Cat ANY help or input is greatly appreciated have a nice day Josh Jenkins Smith Chassis and Metalworks
Josh look up Sarebird on the net. They have caliper brackets that bolt right up to the big buick drum brake spindle and are reputed to be a real nice conversion. Also search this board as I know that Yardley has done the conversion on his Rivvy using scarebird parts and was most impressed with their product. Let us know how their product works out on the wildcat if you decide to use their stuff.
the scarebird set up is sweet. i just did my conversion in the fall on a 66' lesabre 4dr. very clean, pretty simple, and CHEAP. calls for AWD astro van calipers and all easy to find stuff. nice :TU:
it calls for astro van awd calipers, are there any high performance versions of this? some crazy people and their vans... also, what rotors are used?
