Anybody else notice the really wicked looking 62 special on page 84 of the the recent popular hot rodding? I just happen to think the 62 special/skylark body is an awesome looking car. Jim Burek P.A.E. ENTERPRISES
I agree. DIdn't see that one, but I like the 62s a lot. If I hadn't started with a 69, I might have bought one of those instead. It would sure take less to go fast!
I saw one in the last Goodguys magazine that was from Oregon. It has a 455 and big wide 17 or 18 inch wheels and sits real low. There was only one picture, but it looked real sharp.
BU'WICKED You have got to see Ted & Sue Richardson's '62 Special on the cover of Custom Rodder Jan. 04 455 injected, Procharger from ATI, 4-wheel discs, 17" hides all corners. This is one beautiful ride.:beer
You're right Jim...that 62 is absolutely beautiful!!!:bglasses: :bglasses: Looks sweet from every angle!!:TU:
Saw that car a this years Columbus Goodguy's Nationals. Just Awesome. I would shudder to think the of what it cost to do that car.
Yeah I thought that was a beautiful car the first time I saw it. Did you notice the custom EFI intake. It's kind of like the late model LT-1 intake. The article says the guy fabricated it himself. Way cool. Some people on this board and the old "other" board were tossing around building a dedicated EFI manifold for the 455's. This guy might be on to something. Have fun.
Speaking of which... what's new with yours Jim!? I love that body style. I grew up with a 62 Skylark 'vert 4spd in the family.
Re: Re: wicked looking 62 It's just waiting around waiting for me to build a new bullet for it. The one I had in it was just a throw together to check the car out. Jim Burek
