Why they called it a GRAN Sport?

    I was pointing out that he was posting very large pics on ALL his posts, and not just in this thread either. :idea2: But if you guys want to have to do twice the scrolling to see the posts, be my guest.......and :bla: back at ya....

    I'm so glad we all have a Grand personality here.

    Kinda reminds me of old Walt in the movie Gran Torino.

    If you speak German that well, I'm sure that you can show me a few sentences in that language with the word gran in them.

    It will be something like: "In USA haben wir den Gran Canyon besucht...."

    Remarkably, all 5 Corvette Grand Sports still exist and are accounted for. I believe they were all joined together recently at the Amelia Island Concours.

    As I remember it, chebbie had the super sport, pontiac had the gto , olds had the 442, pontiac also had the grand prix, so Buick combined the nomers and came up with gran sport.... the ford grand torino came on later....:laugh:
    but..... I call my gs a ''gran snort''.
