Whenever I attempt to post a link, I get a message that the post needs to be approved by a moderator. Ultimately, my post never appears, yet it shows that I am subscribed to that thread. Any one else having that problem?
JW had to go back to manual on the spam control because of the volume that auto spam contol was not handling. So if the Board program sees a link that it is unsure is safe, it will hold it until it is approved. I do not see one pending for you. When was the post? Some links go right through and are not held for approval. But say Craig's list is held every time.
Jim, I tried to post a link to my Power Timing Threaduzzled: How much safer could a link be, than one to a thread on this board? I tried to post that in the regular 400-430-455 forum. I think the thread was "several issues with my 73 455", or something like that. Even now, when I look at that thread, there is a little green check mark next to the thread name. If I move the mouse over that check mark, it says, "you are subscribed to this thread", but my post does not appear, nor is it added to the replies counter.
I just did try to post that link. Got the same message. ---------- Post added at 02:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:47 PM ---------- http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?63475-Power-Timing-your-Buick-V8 ---------- Post added at 02:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:47 PM ---------- http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?63475-Power-Timing-your-Buick-V8 ---------- Post added at 02:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:48 PM ---------- OK, that time it worked. Still double posting though.
Mike has an anti-spam plug in on the board here, that doesn't work worth crap at keeping out new spam registrations, but does moderate well known members.. I have tried to disable it completely, but it keeps on screwing with us.. Mike will have to take it out completely. JW
Well, that still may be true... But not for this reason.. I did find your posts, along with about 30 others, and validated them all.. Then went into the control panel and figured out how to diable that anti-spam product. We should be good now. JW
