Who's got a steering wheel?

I need a new steering wheel for my 65 skylark, mines all cracked and funky, afraid it might come apart on me one of these days. Give me a shout if ya got one

Hey there Philly-Steak-Joe! If you find a good wheel, please talk to me about a possible restoration of your old/cracked wheel. I've got a friend who wants to try to restore Buick wheels. His specialty is VW/Porsche hi-end restoration steering wheels. Same materials he thinks. Anyway, don't throw that old cracked wheel in the junk. . send it to me. Wheelz, Tampa Bay

 

Hey George, will other wheels match what I have? I'm keeping her all stock, just a plain black steering wheel,would I commit a mortel sin using another year, or model?


Wheelz, I love driving my old girl, I'm not takeing that wheel off till I have another to put on, Then I will send you the old one for restoration

I don't know if the later wheels, 67-up will work on the pre-67 models. Those earlier columns are different. I think the collar behind the wheel is a smaller diameter than the 67-up models. I don't have an early wheel. You should not have a problem finding one on Ebay or here. Just have to be patient. But, I am sure you found that out already.

The 3-spoke sportwheel will work ! however you will need a smaller hub. they look fantastic on the older skylark and GS. IMHO ! :grin: Gary

LISTEN UP! I have recently mentioned that I have a friend who is willing to restore a 65 Buick steering wheel. . AT COST. .just to see how his final product really is. . . BUT I need a donor wheel. . So, once any of you guys decide to install a 3 spoke sport wheel on your car. . I'd like to talk to you about your old cracked wheel. . .I'll be the guinnie pig for this test. .
