Minneapolis has become the Detroit/Oakland of the Midwest. Add that to the miserably long winters....I'm just not in to that anymore.

So, Nevada here we come. We know there is some snow and I'm sure grass isn't greener there either. But to be next to the Sierra Nevada's, a stones throw to anything beautiful via airplane(we're buying a Cessna 182) within a few hours, and not having to deal with six months of ice, snow and below temps. Its time to go.

We're looking to move to Reno/Carson area...will be there in June to scope out the land. If anyone is in that area, send me a PM so we can keep in touch. I would like to have some input of the area outside of what the realtor says. As a resident of the Twin Cities, I can tell you the areas to go to and the areas to stay away from. I would like to meet some folks who can advise that about area we are looking at.

And of course, our 76 LeSabre will be tasked with pulling a fairly large trailer across the nation. Because sometimes even the "king" has to get his hands dirty. :)

I'm about 120 miles west down the 80.

You'd be close to Sparks (Reno is so close to Hell you can see Sparks) so you could go visit Summit Racing!

I updated the EPA motor to a higher HP motor using parts and heads from a 70 455 SF engine along with dual exhaust which has increased power significantly. I put heavier coil springs in back and larger rims/tires all around. A local weld shop fabricated a class 3 receiver for me and I will install trailer brake system. It's easily going to be able to handle 6000lbs. We used these vehicles back in the day to tow a trailer with two Quarter horses through hills of California. It doesn't take too much to make them heavy haulers. There basically 1/2 to 3/4 ton truck chassis with the front disc brake setup.
