It is time to replace the original convertible top boot from my '68 GS400. My interior is white so I cannot by the generic black boot.
Who sells the best convertible top boot?

Mike, I got mine from Legendary, and even though it's black, they still had to make it. Frank, their road guy, was at the swap meet in Troy a couple of years ago, and he was giving a discount if you ordered then, I think 10%. It's ok, doesn't have the clips like the original has plastic the slips under the molding. RV

You can also get one made by PUI in Louisville. Top boots are the same across the A body convertible lines in GM. A PUI distributor should have any and all color available. Last several I have purchased, 2003, where $90.

I also understand that PUI is now making GS seat covers and fully assembled GS door panels. Assembled door panels is something Legendary HAS NEVER offered.

Well, I bought a set of PUI door panels for my 72 442 conv, was not impressed with quality. These were bought about 8 years ago. They lasted about 8 months until the chrome trim around the woodgrain started peeling. About 2 years old, the vinyl started to turn yellow. IMHO, these were "junk"

I just ordered a complete interior from OPG, will see what the difference in quality is when they arrive!

What about 1AAA that is on ebay all the time. I need one for my 64 Electra and they sent me samples. One is a close color match but not quite right. I know they are a reseller and not a manufacturer. I'm still looking.

As far as I know, only 3 companies make Buick interiors. One is PUI. The next one is Legendary who supplies Year One, Postons and several other resellers. The last is OPG. Seems OPG is on a mission to start making the most desirable products and have quality at the same time.

I have compared their pricing against Postons, Year One, Parts Place and OPG was cheaper.

I looked at opg and have looked at year one as well and nobody makes interior stuff for 63' skylarks. Does anybody know where I can get new interior parts for my 63' convert and hardtop.

    Mike,

Maybe classicbuicks.com can help. They list availability at $149. for 68-72 Special-Skylark, if that works for you. Otherwise, try Acme Auto Headlining direct in California. I purchased a boot for my Electra 225, the one you made the nice repro sticker for, from classicbuicks and was satisfied.
