The engine gets pulled tomorrow .The over rev must have hurt a rod bearing its making a bit of noise but still has most of its oil pressure .Get it freshened up and be ready to go again .But ready for Martin is looking real shaky right now .
The engine and trans are out .Should be dropping the engine off on Thursday or Friday to get freshened up in Michigan .
Dropped off Thursday he said 2-3 weeks .If so should make Martin with it .4 -5 hours work gets it back in and running . :3gears:
Waiting on the crank the parts are in stock to finish just hope it happens soon not the week of the race .
Hit the tack at Indy after ATI 8" convertor rebuild. NMCA! Got front page! cutting lights! Won first round! Came out of burn out box in third and bang! Type F fluid on the track. I was on kill on the lights with the rebuilt convertor!!! It was easy!!! You can look behind the engine and see broken bell housing.
Still have a long way to go. Crower can't reproduce 2 of my rods based on the info I gave them off the card. Had to send in a good one for them to duplicate. Other than the rods, gaskets and a few new hoses for the Peterson oil pump I'm about ready to put it back together.
Didnt hurt the block. Crank was toast. 2 rods could not be saved. Everything on the top end is OK. Just got a box of good stuff from SRE. Peterson oil pump and all the stuff to make it work.
I could make as much or more power for less money if I went BBC or Ford power but what fun would that be?.
Going to Morocco on Sunday weather looks good 79 degrees and mostly sunny 65 % humidity.Fresh trans, short block and shifter without play in it .Anybody else going to make it :3gears:
Glad to hear you are back up and running. We were hoping to see you last weekend at NMRA as we only had 10 cars show. Track was not as good as I thought it would be. I finally have my driveshaft loop made and in and would like to test once before Stanton but Sunday is not good for me. Hope all goes well . Jody
