Is it the "B" 361-383 or the "RB" 426-440 ? Doesn't somebody on this site repro the adapters? Thanks, Steve weim55 Colorado
MOPAR Intake Adapters Charlie Evans makes the adapters in question. Contact him at the GSCA web site.
Mopar adapters Steve-Charlie Evans' home phone number is 270-685-4654.I think he makes 2 different ones, that are quality pieces. Charlie is building my stage 2 engine. If you get his machine, leave a message,as he might be workimg at AM&P's shop.Mike Nussell
The 383 Manifolds are used w/ the standard port location and the 440 with high port......IE Stage3/4 and Track Eliminators Here's a thread with a picture of the adapter's I got from Charlie http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=53420&highlight=intake
I continue to think about this adapter (for the 440) and use it with the Edelbrock bolt on speed density EFI system for big block Mopars. The system looks pretty nice - at a good price (about $2700), all you would need is this adapter. One question, how does the thermostat housing work? Maybe I missed it in the pic - in the attached thread from above.
Thanks for the reply...... Wow......that's a really nice piece! I'll look Charlie up, thanks for the info and pics. I'd assume I'd simply have to plumb and install a free standing themostat housing off the front water ports if I run it in a street application...no? BTW, the port alinement is so close to the same, Buick vs Chrysler...that's incredible! Steve weim55 Colorado
Steve, when you speak to Mr Evans, ask if they are off the shelf, or if he will need to machine you one. Let me know. If he machines one, I may go ahead and order one as well. It will just set on the shelf for now, but would be nice to have - and I know if the future doesn't work out for a mopar manifold, I am sure I could sell. Thanks..... Which route are you thinking? I would need to go with the mopar big block version.
Adaptors! I think Charlie should have more than one set in stock. There's a couple of ways to do the water, with a STR manifold I'm planning to use , I'm taking the water out the front of the heads. (The plugs in Stage 2 SE heads). Jim N.
