Which Master Cylinder?

My 68 Riviera has power drums up front. Master cylinder is leaking where it bolts to the booster. Rear reservoir empty. Peddle goes to the floor. Two questions-

    1) replacing the master, not sure what brand or part number to buy. Don't think it is a bendix.
    2) how do I know if the booster is bad?

    Thanks!

Obviously, if the rear reservoir is empty and the back of the master is wet, then its a pretty fair assumption the fluid leaked out the back. In which case, the master is no good.

There are two styles of masters- Bendix or Delco Moraine. Just match up whats on the car. They're both cosmetically different. You can either send yours out to get sleeved and rebuilt or you can buy a new one. If you choose to have yours rebuilt, I recommend Apple Hydraulics. I don't recommend you buy an over the counter, 29.95 rebuilt unit

Also, another note. If the rear of the master leaked it obviously ALSO got into the booster. It will deteriorate the rubber bellows & the booster will go bad shortly also. Best to get them BOTH done a the same time.

Thanks Tom. I should have listened to you. So I replaced just the master cylinder and air is still pumping out from back of booster under dash. Booster time!
