Im on Rockauto and there are 5 or 6 pumps available and I dont know which brand to buy? Can you help me?

    here are the choices
    http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,c...ogle.com+Search+for+1973+BUICK+LESABRE+CUSTOM

    or maybe some other source

Mine has no A/C so just has one input and one output tit. I also need to make a fuel line because I have a section of fuel hose bridging the gap at the carb and at the fuel pump to gas tank line. I read on another thread that that is a fire waiting to happen and that no self respecting v8buick guy should have a set up like that. Also no glass filters which I dont have so Im ok in that department.

I have a double flaring tool for brake lines which I have made in decades past so I guess I will use that unless there are objections.

    Thank you

    Gary

If I was ordering one I'd go with the Carter pump, only because the pump is in the correct position in the picture:Brow:

There is often a section of rubber fore and aft to allow flex in the system. [ near gas tank & near engine ]

Ive considered going to electric, summit has an AC electric pump, I already have a 7psi kill switch for one. [ if engine dies, pump turns off ]

AC Delco pump with a new line in the OE steel from Inline Tube or pretty much any buick vendor has them also, not worth the time making one

I'm not sure it specifies very well but I believe the lines from the mechanical pump to the carb are different from 2bbl to 4 bbl. Just an FYI.

Yes, the Q-Jet fitting is in the front of the carburetor and the 2GC is on the passenger's side.

Ive got 1973 lesabre with 1970 quadrajet that decodes for a 350 with Automatic trans. It has a rather long fuel filter housing that is of course facing forward. Ill try to find the line for the 1970 350. And then another thing I may start a thread on it is what to do with my charcoal cannister. I think that came out in 71. So I have lines coming from the tank that go into the charcoal cannister. I think its supposed to go on a tit on the carb but there is no such tit because its a 1970 carb. I thini it goes to off idle port on the carb so as not to affect the idle mixture. Any advise?

In 72, the line fit into a hole on the bottom of the air cleaner snorkel. It DID NOT go to the carburetor. It is probably the same in 73.
