When I get a chance during the course of the day I hop on here to bring my thoughts to cars and to get a chuckle on the "Funny thread". Some jerk that really ads zippo to the car talk and seems to now be trying to pull the "New" funny thread off the rails is ruining it for me and guys like me
When I was a kid in the early 60's, we never heard of seatbelts. Most of the time, we rode in the back of cargo vans (no seats except the bench seat in the front), or the back of the pickup truck. Sitting on the wheel wells. Safety was holding on over the bumps. If we had a car, it was sleeping in the back window.
I remember taking my wife to the hospital with our first in our '73 (Stage 1) Gran Sport, and listening to her yelling at me to "SLOW DOWN". I was dammned if she was gonna drop our kid in the front seat! FWIW — our Gran Sport woulda been four years old at the time..... .....and like you we brought our beautiful little girl home in my wife's lap. Times have changed! Thanks,
