Im looking for a good place to hide my Crane ignition. I was thinking in the driver side fender next to the horns, or in the trunk pass. side. Any other ideas??? I also want to run the PS-91 coil, but will the voltage drop and time lag from the dist to the trunk, then the trunk to the coil cause funky problems? My dist is on its way to Dave as we speak, so one weak link is covered. I do not want to mount my battery in the trunk because I do not want to deal w/the hassle of a disconnect switch.

And how would I go about gutting an oil filled coil w/o destroying the housing? I want to keep a stock look and run the coil wire down the tower and out the back to the crane coil, hidden from sight.

Any help or ideas is greatly welcome.

    Thanks Michael

Ahhh.. Another non-norm guy! You'll be impressed with Dave's work, and you'll love the Crane box..

I had a tough time finding a spot to put mine too, but I found a nice hiding place.. ;-) Make sure to use vibration mounts too.. Makes install a bit easier as well I think. For ideas on mounting (some are real tricked out too) click search and enter in MSD.. Grab a beer and happy reading!

I'm currious about where you plan on mounting the PS-91 coil.. I have a LX-92 that I'm tryin to mount but the only place that makes any sense is the fender next to the dist.. But talk about obvious..

CyberBuick, that was exactly where I was going to put it, but make a mounting plate to attach the "stock" coil to (and cover the crane) and feed the wire through the coil to the crane hidding behind it.:Brow: :Brow:
