Why would you go anywhere else? If you want cheap you wont be happy. Have it done correct the first time.

there's a guy in Fort Wayne, but for the life of me i can't remember his name or web site. i could take you right to his house ... if i wasn't in Fla. :Dou:

don't know anything about him, never actually stopped and talked.

he's in NW Fort Wayne. west end of Ludwig Road just east of US 33.

then there's Earick Racing over in Ohio as well.

How about doing it right in your own garage, buy a master rebuild kit and have the machine work done at the shop, have a good manual in hand, follow it closely and assembled it carefully, its not a tough job at all and you will feel real good doing it yourself and I am sure there are many here who can answer any questions you may have. You should be able to build it nicely yourself for around 1000.00 to 1200.00 maybe a little less.

HEY! Yourself! You're nowhere near this deal, Mr. Florida. We Michiganders would much rather live in a state shaped like a mitten, than in a state shaped like...um....er....well, like it needs Viagra!!

Now, go away or I shall taunt you a second time!! :moonu:

Although assembly is important, 'proper' maching is the key to this job turning out right.

There are an abundance of board members in that general area.....should have no trouble finding some good suggestions.

You got that right. I bought a block at the Buick Nationals in Salem and Met Mike Phillips. I told him I needed a girdle on the block. I sent it on it's way. He wanted the jounal sizes on the mains at 4 piont on each one. When I called with the measurements from a crank I paid for ($425 and supposedly indexed) from another Buick vender, both who works for him and Mike said they would not even machine the block with those specs. Within .0002 or nothing. Now I must go 20 thou. under on the crank. When I get the block back in 2 weeks I'll have the crank done to fit the bearings. I think precise machining is the key!!!

oh my. that may be the most significant taunting i've ever received. don't think i've ever heard Fla referred to like that before.

    tis but a flesh wound.

you must be overly familiar with entities that need Viagra in order to make that association, eh? :error:

well, your mother smelt of elderberries and your father was a Walloon!

yeah, I know - not the most original. But it was the only thing I thought of that was suitable for print in this environment.

oh, I know of one!!!!! Unfortunately, it would be tacky of me to out him on the public forum.

Thanks for playing Bob! One day, after I grow up, I'm going to get one of those new fangled DVD players and buy that movie! It's awesome!

Now go and boil your bottoms, you sons of silly persons!
