Ordered a master cylinder and brake lines from inline tube. Then I decided to call them back to see if a bleeding kit was included. The guy says sure there is one included. Got the parts today. Do you think there was a bleeder kit included? Of course not! Also, it did not come with plastic plugs to plug the line holes to do it that way.

i just purchased a new master cylinder from inlinetube this past monday. i drove to their plant in shelby twp from windsor.
no bleeding kit included nor did i expect one. i have my own homemade kit.
i did experience a problem. the spring steel wire that holds the m/c cover in place had to be bent to make the cover fit tightly. it did take a while to prime the master but no big deal.
the m/c is identical to my old original that i had removed 10 years ago.

Similar story with the brake lines I ordered. I was very specific with the guy on the phone that I wanted the flexible and steel tubing for connection to the front wheel cyliners. Two days after placing the order I got a call to "confirm" the order. When the parts came it turns out the sent me the steel lines from the distribution block, not the drum wheel lines. Not a big deal since I'd planned on eventually replacing them all anyway, but glad I double checked what they sent before starting a new project. I-T seems to have mixed reviews.

i also picked up a new power brake booster. the one i purchased several years ago never really worked right from the get go. it would not hold vacuum. the new unit works as it should.
to save a futer trip to inlinetube, i also purchased the parking brake cale set.

Master cylinder not working properly. Called inline and they said there is supposed to be a slug in the master cylinder that mine didn't come with to make it a short bore. Oops, another screw up.

i installed the new m/c. i had to place the lid retining wire in my vice and bend it to make the cap fit tightly. however, the cap is not sealing at the rear. today, after lunch, i will be attempting to resolve that problem.

Might be a front and back on the lid. Turn it end for end and see if it seals. Just a thought. Mike D.

Did your mc have the slug in it or was it deep bore.

no slug required. the lid is one way fit only. i pulled the wire clamp from my original m/c (removed about 8 years ago) and installed it on the new m/c.. i will have to wait until the weather improves before i can test.
