where is the coil supposed to be mounted on a buick 350? any pics? also, there is a hole in the intake behind the carb.... what goes there and where does the other end of the hose end up?????? I've tried searching some pics but couldn't get any good shots, so any help would be greatly apreciated.
    Thanks,
    Zach

    SkylarkSteve Hello Michael

The coil is on the front towards the passengers side, basically right next to the alternator. I belive one of the bolts that hold the alternator bracket on also holds one end of the coil holder but its been a while since I've messed with it so I can't be certain. Sorry I don't have any pics otherwise I'd post them.
I know of a few holes behind the carb on the intake, if its more towards the passengers side and is somewhat small its probably a vacuum port for the modulator on the trans. if its bigger and on the drivers side then it should be for the line that goes to the brake booster. There's also another large hole way in the back where the pcv valve fits.

Here's a pic of the location for a 455, I'm pretty sure the 350 is the same. :TU:

thanks alot guys, so the large hole is for the pcv, and then a breather in the valve cover?? I always thought the pcv went in the valve cover, but this is the first buick 350 i've had, but a few chevs in the past. I guess I can see that. thanks for the pic of the coil by the way, much apreciated.

    SkylarkSteve Hello Michael

Yep, a rubber hose runs from the pcv valve to the carb and on stock set ups a hose goes from the air cleaner to the valve cover, but this can easily be replaced by any off the shelf breather.
