    Hello,

Does anybody know where I can get my distributor modified for dual quad use?
Checked the other threads...found "Carmens" number but it's only fax. Is he still working on distributors?
I have a stock distributor from a 425 Nailhead and I'm located in SoCal.

    Thanks!

    Andrew

The 1963 and earlier distributors have the same timing curve as the Dual Quad 1964 thru 1966 have.
I have a Sun Distributor machine to do a custom recurve if your close to Riverside.

    Hi,

I believe only the Automatic Trans cars had a different curve, for that matter you should be able to get an aftermarket kit and see what works best depending on cam you are running

If you want to do it yourself buy the moroso 72310 kit put in the new weights and start with the medium springs and go from there, out here on the west coast the fuel is junk and you cant run as much advance curve as you can with better fuel in the midwest...just my 2c

    Telriv can do it too.

x2 on the earlier Dynaflow distributors.... a good alternative
The 2x4 and Dynaflow distributors have a shorter mech advance..... 10 degrees initial to 32 deg max= 22 degrees.
The standard late 4 bbl have more mech advance..... 2 deg initial to 32 deg max= 30 degree sweep. I welded up the slot on mine to make it similar to a 2x4 version.
