where can i buy one of those....

where can i buy one of those engine torque chains or straps or whatever they call them,so the motor doesnt lift since its strapped to the chassis?

Actually I just was setting up a time to throw a proto-type on my wifes car for a picture in the next week or so I forgot we had a post on going....ou:

I'll probably be in for one too, with the shorties installed theres not much room for error, would be real easy to smash a brake line if a motor mount gave way.

 

Poston's (1-800-635-9781) has the torque strap for the Turbo cars, it is #PE849326, $28.88.

Turbo Tie is the leading manufacturer of the strap. There have been several weak attempts to duplicate them but most of the leading parts vendors sell the Turbo Tie brand, with that said guess who is my vendor on this project :eek2: Thats right !! Turbo Tie (new name for the BB ones tho) He lives only 16 miles from my house, and has indicated that this weekend or right shortly after we will have a prototype to play with.

well as you know I have been working on these I now have the plans drawn up but I need to do a BUY IN with the company!! PLease look at the tie down thread!!! I need to buy in to get these done and Im ready to proceed. So lets get the tie downs behind me so we can move on with the torque straps!! thanks
