My 350 had it built into the carb. The new carb doesn't have it and there isn't any room in the manifold.
The only ports that are left open are the small ones, will that be enough vacuum? Not sure if they make a barb that big for them so i may have to downsize the line?
Rear half of your intake ( pic 3 ). port 1 pass side = trans modulator... port 2 center = PVC. port 3 drivers side = Brake Vac port need to adapt to it..
The red capped port is for the climate control vacuum storage on the firewall. The power brake booster feeds off a fitting on the intake manifold, rear driver's side. The PCV valve is fed by the large front port on the Q jet base plate.
Note that you will probably have to tweak your hard line to make it work, or you can get a new hard line for the big block from Todd: https://www.stage1restoration.com/product/power-brake-to-booster-line-hose-kit/ I think it actually comes with the manifold fitting too. He goes by ToddsGS here.
Thanks Rich for the referral! I greatly appreciate them. This is what I offer . . . . Comes with the correct Hardline, Fitting for the Intake and Rubber hose to hook to the Booster Fitting
Maybe I'm overthinking this, but how do you actually line up the fitting? It's NPT, what if the fitting points forward? Or can you always turn it an extra half a turn?
They seal long before they are as tight as you can get, so, yes, you line it up as you approach maximum tightness. It works out. Since I am using an SP1 intake, I just use a straight nipple.
