    Hey Gang,

Here are two cars that I would like to see back at a Buick race event. The first is owned by a Buick guy(Jeff Hart) and the second unfortunately now has a chevy in it.

Jeff, what is the status of your car????

Doug, have you seen the 65 out at the track this year?????

    Shawn,

The 65 now has a chevy in it. I think he is running 9s with it. Jeff Hart now has the Ruffo car. I wonder when he will have it ready to race?????

John, is that the car we spoke about last year for sale (the 65) looks real nice, I don't recall seeing that car before at a Buick race? Doug H ??

    Bruce,

This is the car that I was describing to you. This car was built here in Northern Ohio and may have always had a Chevy engine. It was sponsored by Bill Lake Buick in Cleveland. From what I have heard it was rarely used. When I looked at the car I thought it would have been lighter than my 70 Lark but it wasn't so I didn't want to purchase it. But I did like it better.

Nah John, I haven't seen that '65 since that one time I talked to the new owner. I think I told you about that. It was a year or two after you sent me the pix of it when it was in Ohio. I met the guy and checked out the car when I just suddenly decided to show up at Island Dragway's "Old Time Drags and Rod Run" with my '65. I guess that was in '03 or '04. The guy is running a BBC and I think you are correct about it running in the 9s. Also about it not being that light. I forget now what it weighs, but I remember in comparing the two that mine (a little over 2500 lbs empty) is lighter by at least a couple hundred pounds. There was a couple of things that car had done to it that I liked, but overall, I like mine better. The layout inside the car, the cage, the chassis. Stuff like that.

Bruce, I don't know if the car ran very much at Ohio tracks before it came east. Maybe John could shed some light on that. That could be why you never saw it. I also don't know if it ever had a Buick motor in it. John?

Hey John, I usually cant do anything (because of work) until at least mid to late January, and then things start to happen. My Red car needs a little chassis work, then I hope to get the Ruffo car in to make a few changes. (Corey was a little taller then me). The engine and tranny will come out before I send it to the chassis shop. I need to see what I have to work with before I make too many decisions. The color as you know will be changed also, and still havent come to a solid decision.
The Real Street point series races land on every Buick outing there is, so it will take some doing to get the car to a Buick event this year; however it is my goal to be at least one with the car.

Looks good Jeff. Last time I seen that car it had A-arms, he was talking of upgrading to struts, looks like he followed through with that. I see a dry sump system also, and bars for a front mount cell. :TU:
