Well here goes my first request, My 68 350GS is all original except for a ten year old paint job and headers (cracked manifold couldn't be replaced at the time):af: My question is are my hubcaps original, almost all GS's I have seen on the road (not many) have rally wheels. I have beauty rings with tri-shield caps, but they are black shields on the cap not the usual colored ones I've seen on other Buick's I have been looking for a spare in case I ever loose one. Are these some kind of rare option???? Do No: :Do No:
Thanks in advance for any input. I will try to scan a picture when she comes out of winter hibernation.

    Red,

Can you post a photo of your wheels? Do you have a trim ring with a "dog dish" style or "poverty" hub cap? The first '68 GS I bought (in '84) had the poverty caps but not the trim rings. I think the trim rings may have been added at a later date.

In any case, if you did not specify a special wheel or cover you would get the standard poverty cap in '68.

Look at the red '68 GS in this post and let us know if those are the same caps (notice, no trim rings).

Thanks for the reply Mike, that does look like the same cap, I have to polish off green streaks every spring, but they do polish up nice. How do I post a photo, I do have a shot when I tore the body down a few years ago.:blast:
