Im looking to put some new rims and tires on my 85 Regal. I was wondering if anyone has 15-10" rims on there regal? If so whats the backspacing, and what tires are you using? I want to use M/T et streets that are 30-13.5-15's. Will I have to relieve the frame or run less backspacing? Just wondering if anyone has run this combo? Any suggestions on other combos?

    Thanks, Tom

I know most guys with un-altered GN's were using 3.5 backspace.
For the size tire you're talking,You'll definately be looking at some fabrication to make them fit,Nothing looks better than having the tire tucked in nicely.

You need 4.5" BS with the 10" wheel. I doubt a tire taller than 28" in that width will fit, though I don't know the exact thread & section width of that MT ET Street. You'll need to do 2 things to really get a bigger tire in there -- trim or roll the wheel well lip and cut-out the out-board section of the frame and re-weld it a bit further in-board.

28"x10" should be doable without much if any hassle. But these bodies are not all aligned the same on the frames, so don't take my word for it; try it first.

Suggestion: visit one of the v6 message boards and do a search...or ask here on the Regals With Extra Cylinders section.
