It's an interesting ebay ad, saying the original 455 was rebuilt. Strange that they'd decide to change it to the color of the later 455's Also, it's listed as a 72 GS. Didn't the 72's have GS door panels? This one didn't appear to have any door panel emblems.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=16124&item=2444984052 Uh oh.... Looks like Chris is at the bidding again:Brow: Maybe we should stop bad-mouthing this auction:laugh: Looks like a SLEEK car otherwise:TU:
It does VIN out to a GS455. Did they have GS doorpanel emblems? I know my 71 did, I just can't remember back to my 1972. Check out the Pro Street 71 'Cuda in the background.
I'm going to get beat for this on but.... So thats how you get a .10th of a second out of a Buick? Make it think its a Mopar. Heck with the 71 Cuda. Check out the 57 Savoy.
Don't stop badmouthing on my behalf, I just bid on it so I could track it to see what it sold for, I am not interested in the "Blue Flame" motor!
"DuPont base coat and clear coat were used to achieve the current luster." If I was a DuPont lawyer, I'd be filing papers on that thing. And I'm sure the fashion police would only be too happy to assist in arresting the responsible parties. Yuck! :blast: James
