http://portland.en.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/971690547.html This looks like a deal for the interior and body parts alone! What am I not seeing??
Anything positive in the description should just be dismissed to begin with. With exterior sheet metal pics, there's no way to know how much body work has been done. At the minimum I'd request back window closeups as well as trunk, focusing on the areas where the quarters meet the trunk pan & wheelwells. Get some underside shots highlighting the floorboards and body mounts, and some underhood shots too. Devon
Car needs a new interior (all the panels look really worn), plus it has a cheapie quick paint job which may be hiding rust - look inside the front wheelweel - tons of overspray in it.
Good call on the overspray. Overall, looks to need more work than price suggests. 2/3 less on price should sell it. Can view it if someone wants me to.
I agree with all the defects you all have noted, but: Console=$450 Buckets=$450 Bumpers=$150-300 each Wheels=$500 So, from just a parts view, it looked like a good deal to me. Down here in the "swamps" we never find anything that even remotely looks this good for the money. I can't even find the typical worn out 225 to rob the motor out of. That's why I was wondering why nobody has jumped on it. West coast guys are just spoiled!
This car has been on CL non-stop for around 6 months... maybe more. There's got to be more to the story or it would have sold by now. Jeff ~
I think this was the car that sold for under $1000 here in central oregon last year. It was in the same shape then.
 :bla: . I can't remember the last older Buick that I paid more than 3 digits for. That includes a 69 GS350 & the convertible.
I think that may be primer on the car and not paint. he states that the whole rear window panel needs replaced and he has one. there are enough Buick guys in portland that if this was a decent deal the car would have been gone long ago.
