whats up all you buick fans!!

My name is Casio, but please, by all means, call me B-LARK!

For those of you who are viewing this message, I am in need of help, BIG HELP, so don't stop reading! And I can use all the help I can get so everyones help is appreciated!

OK first off I own a 72 skylark 350. The car is great but one thing is not. The one thing that isn't good is that it has a chevy 350. I know..I know.. that stinks but it was what was in the car when I got it. the other thing I dont like is that it is an automatic. I am currently trying to get a hold of a 4 speed but this where I am stuck.

QUESTION: Will a 4 speed transmission from a 350 skylark bolt up to a chevy 350?

QUESTION: What about the flywheel, clutch, and pressure plate from a skylark, will they fit the chevy350?

QUESTION: As well as a chevy flywheel, clutch and pressure plate fit the buick transmission?

If neither will hook up to one another please send advice this my first time doing this.

    God bless and bless God!

    Casio AKA B-LARK

Well first off don't worry about getting a buick tranny as you can use any 4 speed a chevy used. You don't need to find anything Buick related as everything you need other than maybe pedals and clutch linkage will be for a sbc. It's all easy to find anyway. They made like 3 buicks with 4 speeds so that's a pretty tall order to find.

If it were me I'd stick with the auto as this conversition is a royal PITA! Just my 2 cents worth. :beer

Arm yourself with all the knowledge you need so you know what parts to look for, and you'll be shifting for less than $500. However, since you have the Chevy engine (which will be easy to get parts for), you may wanna surf some Chevelle boards for the right pics and parts. Good luck!!
