This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things.   3. The "Group Buy" for the 1967-68 Deluxe Steering wheel recasting is now officially "Open". Now is the time to start sending in the wheels. The latest date that the wheels must be received by Kochs is 31 March 2025 The cost for each wheel is $750. The only "up front cost" is your shipping the wheel. If you send in more than one wheel, each additional wheel will cost $700. Shipping and insurance to Kochs and return shipping will be extra. You will be contacted by Teresa to make payment for the wheel(s) and return shipping and insurance when your wheel(s) is complete.     Any idea how the bolts were held in originally? Mine are broken off. I’m gonna re-drill the holes and put some bolts in there, but do you think JB will would be sufficient to keep them in there?

    Looks like a fresh break judging by the shiny aluminum. What is JB Weld going to do? The piece is cast with threaded studs. The studs are broken. If I were fixing it, I'd drill holes and tap them. Then install threaded rods cut to size. Use the other side as your template

    Yea i broke them off try to straighten them up.‍♂️the other one was missing the bolts and
    I didn’t see the thread pattern on the inside. I figure it was held in by lead or something. I figured jb weld would hold them in as long as I don’t crank down too much. I’ll have to by the tools to tap them. I’ve never done that before but will give it a shot

    Cast pieces don't bend much without snapping. Lesson learned! .

    A good quality tap and die set and drill bits are a must have in any tool box

    Yea this has been an interesting journey lol. I gotta learn how to well too. I can’t afford with these shops are asking. And honestly, I’d rather learn myself. Gotta replace the floorboards and learn basic bodywork

    I made mine out of sheet foam that I bought at Hobby Lobby.
