What's the factory color around 72 tail lights?

What color should the outer part of the tail light lenses be for a 72 GS? One of mine is black and the other is silver. Any suggestions for a source for the correct color and techniques to apply?

 

'72 is black.....70 or 71 is Silver?

 

The silver may actually be argent.

The color for a 72 GS should be black, some of the cheaper model 72 Skylarks came with argent silver trimmed lenses, but this is not correct for a GS.

Thanks for the info! What paint would you reccomend? Flat, semigloss? Would Krylon spray paint do the trick?

 

Krylon SemiFlat Black should get you where you want to be. You don't want to use flat black.
