    have 4.24" bore spacing

ah, well that's different. last time you said "sbc" and 4.4" spacing so i assumed they were all the same.

i didn't catch that you meant the Lotus and Lexus stuff "match up" to us.

Things slip my mind, when in doubt give us a call before spreading rumors that we don't care or aren't interested  We're waiting for a sample Rover roller cam to get in so we can test it in an engine. If everything checks out we'll place an order :Comp:

I'm sorry Mike, but insn't "trying" the first step toward's failure? I'm senior enough the I write things down to prompt me in the right direction. You see, I loaned your dad a Stg II, V6 billet roller about a year ago? Update? I have (3) Rover roller cams in stock. I'd like to help..........roverman.

Okie we got the roller cam blank in last week, as soon as dad finds time he'll put in it a block to see how he likes it :)

Hey Mike. How's the heads coming? Any need for that intake I got laying around? I've got no problem covering shipping and whatnot to help out the process. I'd just like to see these heads out on the market. A little competition with Wildcat would be great. Did you already lay out a price for the heads? Maybe I missed it in earlier posts.

We probably wont need an intake until the heads are done and are ready to be put on an engine and ran. Price will be unknown (firm) until everything is done. Right now I think spark plug hole location is being tweaked and the water jacket modified in a few places.

    As a thought exercise.....

If TA cast some single-plane intakes for 300 and 340 engines (it would be stupid not to if your making hi-po heads that will work on them.)

    Could you bolt a set of TA-Specials:Brow: on a 350 and use the theoretical 340 single-plane intake:idea2:

If so all you would then need is an adapted/hybred cam......

Sort of a backdoor route to an aluminum headed single-plane sbb 350:3gears:

We've been talking about this a lot, and yes, you are correct. That is exactly what would be needed, plus the 340 headers.

Mike, About those Rover/TA heads. This seems to be dragging on ? Does "OZ" have you in an "exclusive" ,for a period of time ? Thanks, roverman.

We're finishing up machining the heads we have (just have the spark plug holes left to go) then we have a few pattern changes to make and then we should go into production.

We've flowed one of the prototype heads on our bench, out of the box numbers with a valve job were about 250 cfm @.500 and with very mild port work (just a little working of the bowl, not a lot) and widening the port by an 1/8th of an inch or so resulted with numbers in the 270+ cfm range @.500. There is MUCH more porting we can do to the port, they're still tiny and full of material! We havent even opened them up to the size of a V6 port yet :Brow: I'll post a couple pictures when I have the chance :TU:

Contemplating what to do to get them to work on a 350 with these numbers..

Yesss its making our hopes of surpassing 300 look possible, but we'll see what the final results are when we're done fully porting it.

Mike, with what bore size on the flow bench were these #'s made and what was the measurement taken at, 28in?

Bore Size Im not sure but yes Im presuming it was 28in as that's what we use when flowing everything.

Got off of the phone with Mike Sr. a little bit ago. I believe he said that during the tests he used a 3.7" bore, valves were 1.94" intake/1.60" exhaust with 11/32" stem and no undercut (said undercut valves actually hurt flow #'s during the tests). Said valves could go bigger with a larger bore. These are great flow#'s.

I am aiming for a 300" block bored and stroked to 350", topped with these heads, a custom EFI setup including intake, and a single large turbo, motivating a '65 Special Wagon :3gears:
