Two weeks ago I snatched the motor out of my 70 wildcat to have it rebuilt. While the engine is being rebuilt, which I think will be a winter project, what should I do in the meantime. The Tranny is already rebuilt and waiting to be put in. The interior is in pretty bad shape, maybe snatch out interior and start supporting floor, or should I working on the rear end or something...Need advice.
They say in the auto marketing business that the driver's seat is the most important part of a car. With that, I vote that you dig into the interior project - it's what you see the most every time you go for a drive. Devon
I say clean the engine bay If it needs it. Nothing looks worse in my eyes than a detailed engine and a dirty engine compartment. :TU:
I cast my vote with Devon. A few years ago, Car Craft was doing a project '68 Barracuda, with a hi-po \6 and a 4 spd. The thing looked like a garbage dumpster, inside and out. However, after the engine rebuild, they put in a brand new interior, and said it was the best thing they had done to the car -- including the engine, which only went 16.xx when they were finished with it. ou: Post some pics of that 'Cat, if you got 'em! That's my favourite year 'Cat! :TU:
